Before digital cameras and smart phones were popularized, I went to a horror convention as a kid with my stepmom and my dad. When we went to have lunch in the hotel restaurant one day, the only other table in there eating was Sid Haig and his crew. He saw my Captain Spaulding T-shirt and instantly asked us to come join them. We sat and had lunch with that man, and he was the coolest, most laid-back person ever. So kind and genuine. The horror community lost a real one when he passed 🫶🏻❤️🩹 these interactions are priceless.
