TikTok fuelled overtourism is a massive problem in Italy, locals in the Dolomites have literally protested about things like littering, the erosion of trails, etc. people downplaying it as just a picture in a cute fit why are u so mad need to do some basic research

I think the intent of his video was quite clear. It’s not just about the Dolomites it’s about a lot of these places in general. I was shocked when I went to the Vatican and you have people running around with their phones up, with hats on and causing a ruckus in a sacred place. Just one example but that behaviour has been prevalent everywhere in the last 9 weeks I’ve been in Europe. Everyone is like robots

As someone who’s older and remember when hikes were significantly less crowded. I’ve had to argue with influencers just to take my kids picture in a spot because they were monopolizing it. That’s just one example. It’s not that big of a deal, it just takes away from reason I like to hike. Just being honest.
