At the end of the day, tattoo artists are artists and the supplies cost a lot. I’m about to pay 1500 for a tattoo that will cover a good portion of my body and I’m proud of my tattoo artist for charging me what she’s worth.

I swear this is only an online issue especially on tiktok, I rarely see people complaining about prices irl, also why complain about not getting dirt cheap prices for something that's literally on you forever!! $300 is nothing in the grand scheme of things, im not heavily tattooed even as a tattoo artist bc good work isn't cheap and I dont want trash work on my body

Listen I have a lot of tattoos & (not saying you) but a lot of artist these days are charging $400 for art that should cost $250 at most. Not even an hour worth of time. My whole stomach cost me $900 and that’s excluding tip few years ago. I been trying to get a 2 inch tattoo back of my hand and haven’t found one artist in LA to do it under $400 yet. The math ain’t mathin.

I have a 3”x5” tattoo on my stomach that I got for $100. Now it is fine line but with a bunch of little detailing and stippling so price also depends on the style you want. My advice is shop around for artists. I’ll go to at least 2-3 artists and ask for a quote before booking with someone
