🍊 HOW I MADE THIS REALISTIC PASSION FRUIT CANDLE Learn with TikTok ✨ Step-by-step guide STEP 1 — Create the mold I used a small round glass vase as my base. You can also use a mandarin, orange or basically anything you have at home that has a similar shape. 🍊 Wrap it completely in aluminium foil to recreate the shape. STEP 2 — Choose the right wax For realistic fruit candles, I love using rapeseed wax. It dries much faster than soy wax, is easy to colour and gives me a smooth finish without the frosting you often get with soy wax. STEP 3 — Build the outer shell ❤️ I started with a dark burgundy/cherry-red rapeseed wax. I poured it into the mold, rotated it around and poured out the excess. I repeated this several times until I had an even shell. STEP 4 — Add the white inside 🤍 Next, I repeated the exact same process with white rapeseed wax, slowly building up the inside layer by layer. STEP 5 — Remove & shape it ✨ Once the wax had set enough, I carefully removed the passion fruit from the aluminium foil and cleaned off any excess wax. Then I used a knife to shape the top and give it that natural, uneven passion-fruit look. STEP 6 — Give it a glossy finish 🔥 This is one of my favourite tricks: I gently use a hair dryer to smooth the outside of the rapeseed wax. It melts the very surface just enough to remove imperfections and gives the candle that beautiful smooth, glossy finish instead of looking matte. STEP 7 — Add the wick 🕯️ Once the outside was finished, I added and positioned the wick. STEP 8 — Make the seeds 🌱 For the realistic seeds, I used toothpicks as a base and coated them with dark/black rapeseed wax. Then I covered them with yellow jelly wax, creating that translucent, juicy look of real passion fruit seeds. STEP 9 — Fill the fruit 💛 Finally, I filled the inside with yellow jelly wax and carefully placed all the little seeds inside. And that’s it! 🍊✨ A passion fruit that looks like the real thing… but is actually completely made of wax. 🥹 Would you burn this or just keep it as decoration? 👀 #candlemaking #candletutorial #candle #LernenMitTikTok #passionfruit
