@growinnhomes: This is how we clean up Banana Plants so more energy goes into the fruit! 🍌 We pruned old leaves, cleaned up the rack, and removed some baby Banana (Pup) Plants growing from the side Those baby plants are called pups, and we can replant them in a new spot When a Banana rack is forming, we like to remove the dry flower pieces at the ends That helps the plant focus more energy on the fruit We also cut off crispy older leaves so more air and sunlight can move through the plant All those leaves become chop and drop mulch that breaks down and feeds the Bananas again Since we do not use chemicals or pesticides, cleaning up the plants is one of our best ways to manage pests The Banana Plants already looked healthier, cleaner, and more open after a nice cleanup
