@drone_scape_sheff: ✨🌠 WHAT A SHOW! 🌠✨ Last night I headed out to Redmires Reservoir and set up for a couple of hours to capture the meteor shower in all its glory. 📸🌌 From around 12:40am until 2:40am, the night sky put on an absolutely incredible display, with meteors streaking across the darkness above the reservoir. 😍🌠 Standing there in the middle of the night, watching the sky light up and knowing I was capturing it all in a time-lapse was honestly something special. 🌌✨ Here’s the result — 2 hours condensed into one awesome time-lapse! 🎥🔥 #RedmiresReservoir #MeteorShower #Sheffield #Astrophotography #FYP

It’s definitely difficult to capture on video. I got one on camera after 2hrs of viewing. Trouble with time lapse is you’re getting lots of satellites which will appear as if they are streaking across the sky, so sadly not the best method for capturing a meteor shower imo

Manchester UK saw 5 of them at 2am over half an hour. Was expecting more tbh was abit like a needle in a haystack slightly disapointing like the eclipse😂

I remember this was what the sky looked like when I was a kid. My dad would tell us to look up and focus our eye site on all the stars. I miss this.
