No you’re not wrong. But you were wrong on installing the used part before hand even after you checked it you should’ve just passed on the job sometimes you have to take the L just to protect yourself from things like this.

Tbh I would have declined the job right out the gate or if I am doing it she sign a waiver of liability understanding that said part will fail due to condition of said part. Plus the recording you have that she acknowledged the possibility of using said part she doesn’t have much to stand on.

Yall keep saying don’t do the work… people by used parts all the time and at the end of the day, it’s on the customer. It’s different if he bought the part for her, then installed it. She supplied the item and he verified it wasn’t that good. And she said she would buy another part🤷🏾♂️. Now it’s the job fault lol
