@thesameerproject: LISTEN. Listen to the reality. Listen to what families in Gaza are actually experiencing. The humanitarian system they have no choice but to depend on is shrinking around them. World Central Kitchen was forced to go from one million meals daily to dramatically scaling back to only hundreds of thousands per day. The World Food Programme says people in Gaza are facing crisis levels of food insecurity or worse - and yet what they serve in an entire month TOTAL is not even enough for what the population needs daily. And 37 international humanitarian organizations were threatened with being forced to cease operations under new registration requirements by the criminal occupation. Large organizations are facing funding shortfalls. International organizations are being restricted. Mutual aid groups are losing donations. So listen to this woman. Where is she supposed to go? Who is she supposed to ask for food? For water? For help surviving circumstances that have not stopped being unbearable? In so many underserved camps, The Sameer Project became the constant. When others weren't reaching them, we were there. Families knew us. They waited for our trucks, our meals, our water. They came to rely on us. And now donations have fallen so drastically that we have been forced to pause too. Are we supposed to abandon them too!? We refuse to accept that. But refusing is not enough.
