@slaughteredmedia: OBSESSION LOOKS LIKE A MOVIE THAT REMEMBERS OTHER MOVIES. Throughout Obsession (2026), certain shots feel strangely familiar. Not because you’ve seen this movie before. Because you’ve seen pieces of its visual language somewhere else. The framing. The expressions. The lighting. The composition of individual shots. The film repeatedly creates images that resemble moments from other movies — sometimes closely enough that putting them side-by-side makes the connection difficult to ignore. And that’s part of what makes cinematic references interesting. Filmmakers rarely create images in a vacuum. Decades of horror, thrillers and cult films create a visual vocabulary that newer movies can borrow from, distort or completely recontextualize. Sometimes you recognize the reference immediately. Sometimes your brain just tells you that you’ve seen this image somewhere before. Movies remember movies. And sometimes half the fun is figuring out what they’re remembering. #Obsession #HorrorMovies #Cinematography #Film #MovieDetails
