Ok girl ima break it down in how I started as you know people say start with protection spells, which is a good place to start but I would say more going into sigils, and enchanting. Because with this you can protect yourself while also starting to be able to move your energy and get a better hang of it. Then go into wards and into any other things you want to do.

start with research to whatever you feel most drawn to, plus learn what practices are closed. it'll also be helpful to take your ethnicity into account to know what you can do. first spell though I would do protection. theres a lot of things to learn, but you dont need to learn everything to be able to practice. listen to your intuition best you can to guide you.

a lot of research, books, forums, etc. I started out with charms and potions which are easy to get the supplies for if you ask for them for your birthday or Christmas, slowly work your way up. Do not rush. If you rush into harder potions, charms and spells you'll likely fail.

Research. Lots. Start with protection spells, then go further. Some people don't recommend love spells but you make your own rules because you truly are the spell. Hopefully that helps, I'm also a decently new witch.

Honestly I first started sub's then I started doing witchcraft for all my spells I use protection and I recommend it because it can help if anything happens(I'm still learning too) and my first spell that ever worked was a money spel

Protection, protection and protection!!! Don’t spend a bunch of money on herbs and shit, use whatever is accessible to you. Research the history of witches, things they did ect. And remember; intention is EVERYTHING!
