A 100lb dog, with 4 bites is a danger. He should have been put down.

This dog had 3 serious bites. 1 of the 4 attacks he was muzzled and attacked a man pushing his wife’s wheelchair. One the victim was just walking by. This dog is not safe at all.

Sorry but animal control was right in this case. Imagine if he mauled a little kid- too risky

those weren't nips. those were legit bites. look, I feel bad for the dog. I do, but he is a danger. the owners were not able to stop the behavior. unfortunately other methods had to intervene because of this. it sucks but its very much needed

100 pound pyrenees who was viciously mauling people recently, if this was a pitbull we would have a different discussion

As a vet tech who owns a dog with ONE (very minor) bite that happened before I owned her, it’s my job to ensure she never has another one. Shes almost ten now and hasn’t had another bite in 9.5 years. Four bites and fighting to save this dog is insane.

I simply think there are lots of other dogs out there who deserve homes, who are not a liability. People who work in veterinary medicine and shelter, environments know that dogs like this are suffering mentally.

I don't understand how someone let's MULTIPLE attacks like this happen especially with such a large dog, one bite can be understandable but multiple? 100% the owners fault, can't be too upset when they're the ones who failed their dog

Behavioral euthanasia is a thing. The dog had four incidents of biting. Not one. Not two. Not even a third strike. FOUR. If it had been a pit or dobbie or rottie a second chance wouldn't have happened.

Two things: 1.not a Pyrenees mix 2. Those bites are the responsibility of the owner and his euthanasia is on their hands.

Why didn’t the owner look for a life saving alternative in the year and a half that their dog was a menace? This is all on the owner

If my dog bit 1 person, especially if it did that amount of damage she would be euthanized the next day. It would break my heart-but that’s the responsibility of people who own potentially dangerous animals.

People are losing the plot here, not all animals are mentally stable, the correct choice was to put that aggressive dog down, behavior is unpredictable. Stop pushing this dangerous animals into our communities with the delusional idea of "no-kill"

more limited resources being used towards a questionable dog while dogs with stable temperaments die.

I LOVE animals. But I think part of that means knowing which ones to save and which ones to let go. You can’t save them all, and the resources need to be used wisely.

There are millions of dogs that are not dangerous to society euthanized every year, the money they spent saving this extremely dangerous dog could have saved dozens of them.

Unless those were burglars, what exactly is the argument that the dog is not vicious?

So Santa Paula animal rescue center wanted to warehouse an aggressive dog just so they can tell people how awesome they are for saving everything?
If they got what they wanted, best case scenario that dog would have to be kenneled 24/7 and only interact with specifically approved people.
That's no life for a dog.
Stop letting rescues use outrageous cases for fundraising and start putting the welfare of the animal first

It’s crazy to me to see how different people view this on TikTok vs Facebook. Most comments on this on FB are people condemning VCAS and calling them monsters. I’m so glad there’s still some sense in the world after reading these comments

As someone who was a victim of a dog like this. You euthanize the dog. I was the most severe attack and I had to have facial reconstruction surgery and I have a prosthetic piece in my eyelid so I can blink. It’s not always the owners, sometimes it is just the dog and it has problems no one could have predicted.
