The enclosure is small because it’s simply to display the animal. There is a door in the back that is motion activated and leads to an outdoor enclosure. They are free to go outside whenever they feel.

I wouldnt expect a lot of you to know this if you haven't been to the zoo before but this part of the enclosure is small because its only to display the leopard. There's a little door at the bottom right of the stairs it can willingly walk in and out of. the enclosure on the other side is typically outdoors with protection and a lot bigger. When I worked at the zoo they had the same thing for all the big cats and monkeys
