Of course people shouldn't lump groups together and speak hatefully about them all, though I haven't seen much of that in this case. I think people should be allowed to say they find Disney adults weird, because to most people it is a weird concept (meeting adults dressed as child characters) And once people hear about an instance where it's caused harm, obviously they're going to bring up the general 'strange' behaviour (or what they view at strange) Sadly, if you put yourself in a box (like 'Disney Adult' or 'Swiftie', even football fans) you will all take the brunt for other fan's behaviour. It happens with almost every group in our society. If you enjoy the Disney community so much then outsiders calling it weird shouldn't even affect you. People will always have different opinions, no one is taking away your rights to enjoy Disney though.

Sorry for commenting on your other video before watching this one! I 100% agree lumping all Disney adults in as one is not the best. I just knew the context of the thing going around about Toni and thought that’s what you were commenting on and not the general dog piling on every Disney adult 😅

my confusion with the specific vid everyone is talking about is that the performer doesn't actually look uncomfortable and is willingly engaging with her? does he not tell her to 'follow me' and takes her for a walk therefore making the interaction longer himself? or am I missing something? x

it's secondary school bullying hidden behind "humour" - not a "Disney adult" btw, I've never been. love the films though. would go if I could afford it. ❤️

i bloody love you- this is spot on. if someones uncomfortable they should just remove themselves from the situation, but if you’re uncomfortable because someones happy and they are behaving politely, im afraid thats a them problem and they should look inwards

The people posting about her behaviour are doing more harm to him than she is. We can agree that boundaries need to be respected while also appreciating that Disney is where the blame lies. But knowing what Disney are like, people are happy to put his job at risk by putting it out there. It’s because ultimately it’s not about defending him for a lot of people, it’s about feeling justified in attacking her 😔 it wouldn’t be the first time Disney sacked a cast member for going to viral and bringing attention to the park unintentionally.

I think people have massively missed gk’s point… she was referring to grown adults running around chasing down characters like they’re 5 years old and intimidating or making staff uncomfortable, not adults who generally go to the parks to enjoy the rides, the food and watching the shows. People just get offended at anything

Honestly, people are so cruel and judgemental. I couldn’t imagine being that person. But we’ll always be better than them because we don’t judge!

She took the passion a bit far, but as you say that’s on Disney to manage. Now “normal” Disney adults feel ridiculous for having a hobby. God forbid someone does something the brings them joy

I’m an ex character performer at Disneyland Paris, and we ALWAYS had a ‘compare’ kind of staff with every single character in the park, who organised the children, kept me safe and told people off. So… I don’t know why Peter Pan didn’t have anyone…

Agreed. As a 33 year old mum with a fan account over my favourite tv show. We all have our hobbies, just because it you wouldn’t enjoy that doesn’t mean it’s wrong

There are so many judgemental people these days. 💔 I honestly wish people would focus on themselves, what makes them happy, and let others enjoy what brings them joy too. I do agree that if someone genuinely feels uncomfortable or upset, it should absolutely be taken seriously - but it should be dealt with through the right channels and by the right people, not by strangers on the internet judging, shaming or making assumptions. ❤️The world feels so judgemental right now. A little more kindness, understanding and letting people live their lives would go a long way. 🥺 (And as a fellow Chelsea supporter… OUCH! 😭💙😂)

I am afraid to show my true self at work as I am a major nerd about certain things. I feel like people judge me for what I like and don't like. I was alone for ages as it was easier. Thankfully I found my partner and he is so supportive and is helping me be more my true self. He is a "football hooligan" so he understands. He also says Chelsea suck 😆😉 (football banter) x

I love being a Disney adult! I think what she said was so tone deaf, I get where she was coming from but most of us are just autistic and full of joy xxxx

Thing is no one knows the background of the girl, she could be neurodivergent or have a learning disability. I’m a very intelligent person but I’m also AuDHD, and when we traded at Cliffecon in May I dressed in a teletubbies onsie, as La La, with my 90s talking La La, because the Og LaLa and Dipsy were there. And honestly, that healed a part of my inner child that I’d forgotten was broken. I’m not ashamed or embarrassed by it, because comic cons, and especially Cute Fox cons, are a safe place for everyone to be themselves

This and the comments saying she's obviously autistic (what's obvious?) and then taking it upon them to mock autistic people purely bc the person involved is an easy target. People are genuinely so nasty these days and they love getting together for a wee bully. makes me sick.

People take that kind of isolated incident to imply that no adults should enjoy Disney Parks or that it’s inherently creepy for adults to meet characters - whereas in reality, you’re just joining in a little fun improv game with a performer for a few seconds, without the fear of looking silly in front of an audience. Nothing creepy there at all. We all know it’s a person at work not really the character - we aren’t deluded - it’s just a wholesome way to add a bit of whimsy to your day! I know you get it, but many judgy types don’t.
