I watched my granddaughter learn a very important life lesson yesterday: Never let Grandma be in charge of handing out YOUR gummies. 🤣 We were cutting it so close getting to the airport that Amy and I didn’t have time to grab anything to eat before boarding, so we ordered some snacks on the plane, including a bag of fruit gummies. There were several little kids on our flight, and the little brother and sister in the row ahead of us had been playing peekaboo with us over the seats. Amy, being Amy, decided she wanted to share and offered the little boy one of her gummies. ❤️ Well, Grandma decided to be nice too. I put a few gummies in my hand and held them out to his little sister, thinking she would CHOOSE ONE. She did not choose one. She chose ALL OF THEM. 🤣🤣🤣 I looked down at the bag and realized I had just helped give away almost all of my granddaughter’s candy. Poor Amy had TWO gummies left. So technically, her act of kindness didn’t backfire… Grandma’s did. 😂 I immediately promised her I’d buy her another bag because I felt terrible. But Amy just shrugged it off and said it was okay because she already had a whole snack…and their mom hadn’t gotten them one. And THAT was the part that got me. ❤️ She could have been upset that Grandma accidentally gave away her gummies. Instead, she was thinking about the fact that those little kids didn’t have any. So yes, Grandma owes her another bag of gummies. Actually, after this…I think I owe her the BIG bag. ❤️
