I thinks it’s more of how you could tell major writing changes had to be made because of the sudden political tensions and hsr is still suffering from it. While I think Hoyo did somewhat okay with the time they had, it could’ve been so much better. Fulwish could’ve been fleshed out a lot more, despite evanescia’s importance she was often sidelined, as well as the obvious delay of pearl, Just somethings we can’t really do anything about unfortunately

Never thought I’d see people hating on Amphoreous in this day and age. But anyway. I agree, most people seem to really undermine Planarcadia’s messages. Both Fulwish and Asat were INSANE as antagonist, I’d personally say way better than Sunday, Flame Reaver or any previous antagonists were. Both Asat and Fulwish had me creeped out the entire time

I don't read any stories in hsr but it was giving vibes of "distract them they'll never know" by constantly shoving media and "slop" in our faces to distract from the real problems going on around them. if their favorite streamer isn't upset why should they be? which terrifyingly reflects our own world

Tbh it has less subtle cultural inspiration,but they had to change every Japanese cultural inspiration in a month bc of the takaichi. (plus the story it’s the original one just with a different planet and theme) it was probably correlated to the mask so my presumption it’s that the theme was the kabuki theatre THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN PEAK

I didn't really like Palnarcadia cuz it waz a bit too overwhelming for my liking especially at first but the story was really nice, I still like Amphoreus better but Planarcadia was definitely very nice as well, though I get qhy some people like it

They're gonna do exactly what they did with Amphoreus where they're gonna hate on it for ages and then act like they loved it the whole time. Amphoreus and Planarcadia perfectly compliment imo and they work so well together, both telling compelling stories in two interesting ways to not have people get bored
