well said look for authorities in the field evaluate their contributions at the same time keep track of those authors but the most important thing is to reach the reference limit so that your literature review doesn't sound monotonous

The nature of reading is as well very important. Our friends want to read everything in the journal articles. Relevancy to the research question is Key as we look for the gaps that speak to what our research seeks to investigate. Dr. made a video on how to identify gaps in research… look for it. It’s very helpful.
