People get mad at "too much confidence," but you should get mad at those that lack confidence. Who undervalue their skills. Who undervalue their own worth. Overconfidence can place people in rooms they have no business in, but under confidence will ruin your life.

I 100% get you. Im a very humble person in nature (to a fault actually so much that im working on it) But baby when I get to an interview boardroom you'd swear I just got off from a BMW X5 or the latest Jaguar because I'd walking in with so much poise, gentleness and confidence. Ungafunga ukuth ngizoba interviewed for a CEO position 😂 And it works every single time.

The reason a lot of you would not agree is what she's saying is because this goes against everything you've been taught and as such you look for a bar to hold on to. Still doesn't invalidate the fact that she's right. There is a reason you were taught to be meek and humble because the downsides outweigh the good, but I guess we can't change everybody's mindset with a single conversation.

I teach my sister something called “the art of finesse” architecting psychology presence with your wit, charm, intellect, competence, looks, humility, arrogance, diplomacy and the gift of the gab. Shadow work and self mastery is necessity to master this.
