Was teaching myself to code with the help of a great mentor in my 20’s because I really liked that side of the business. Realized he and the others I liked at the company all spent their evenings and weekends coding, because it was so fun for them and their hobby and down time of choice. Realized there was no way I was going to do well professionally in a path filled with people who do that and quickly exited myself back to the “soft tech” side of tech😅
