🚨 Handling the “arrogant” one 👇 When someone is coming across as arrogant our natural reaction is to want to bring them down a peg or two. Whilst it might temporarily feel good in the moment it is unlikely to lead to a constructive conversation or any self- reflection on their part. People who display arrogant behaviours often lack self- awareness around how they come across and the negative impact this has on people. As the manager I would recommend trying to refrain from telling them off and instead focus on asking questions to build their self-awareness, encourage reflection and help them see what they could lose if they don’t change. We can’t force people to change- even as a manager- we can only influence them. Often behaviour like this is a power play- the best way to handle this is by not playing. We don’t need to match this energy. Instead be calm, respectful and assertive. 📌 Please remember the advice offered in this video is generalised and will not fit every situation. Therefore please use your own judgement when using this advice and adapt it to suit your situation. You’ve got this 💪 💬 Have you ever dealt with someone displaying this behaviour?
