Old testament. That was referring to people marking their bodies with idols and satanic markings.

BIBLE SPACE 🕊 ✝️. :
Jesus came to fulfill the Law, not to abolish it. This means that the Old Testament system of punishment and sacrifices no longer applies to those who are in Christ, because Jesus paid the price for our sins. However, this does not mean we are free to break God’s Law or live in sin. Grace is not a license to sin; it calls us to repentance and obedience.

All I understand right now is that holiness comes from the heart and not by appearance and also by whom the Lord has made holy

Will there be people in Heaven that have tattoos?!? Yes! The point is to honor your body because God gave it to us and it belongs to God. If you know better, do better 🤍✝️

old testament has no value to life after Jesus died for our sins. he taught us to live with love, not judgement. the people of the old testament needed those lessons.

Everybody saying “that’s the Old Testament, so it doesn’t apply” — where in the New Testament does it say that it is now okay to mark or tattoo our bodies? The New Testament never says, “tattoos are okay now.”
Yes, Christians are under the New Covenant, but that doesn’t mean we can dismiss Scripture because it’s in the Old Testament. The New Testament still teaches that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19–20) and that we should honor God with our bodies.
And God’s mercy does NOT mean sin becomes okay. Romans 6:1–2 literally says, “Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? Certainly not.”
I’m not saying someone with tattoos isn’t worthy of God’s grace. We all fall short and we all sin, but there’s a difference between receiving God’s grace and using his grace as an excuse to live however we want. We shouldn’t pick and choose scripture based on what’s convenient—we should look to honor God with our entire lives, including our bodies. Lastly when we give our lives to Christ, we are to be transformed in Gods perception and not still take part in what our flesh desires.

its funny cause they did not know what tattoos were let alone know what to call them back then the word tatoo did not come around till the 1700s so that was not the word of God
