@sakeenahmind: I-CBT makes an important distinction between uncertainty and obsessional doubt. If you don’t know whether your train is delayed, that’s uncertainty—you simply don’t have the information yet. But OCD can work differently. You might have information that tells you everything is fine, yet your mind asks, “But what if I’m wrong?” That is where obsessional doubt can begin. The OCD sequence can then develop: **Trigger → Doubt → Consequences → Anxiety → Compulsion** For example: “I locked the door.” → “But what if I didn’t?” → “What if someone gets in?” → Anxiety → Check the door again. I-CBT focuses on what happens before the compulsion—how the doubt was constructed in the first place. Understanding that process can help you recognize the OCD sequence earlier. #MentalHealth #OCD #sakeenahmind
