@thatglasgowwitch: Fire safety!! Remember the fire triangle: Fuel, Oxygen, Heat - remove one, and the fire goes out!! #witchcraft #witchtok #witch #wictchcraft
I’m less concerned about burning myself, a d more about setting off the smoke alarm 😭

So many helpful tips! I use the craft tweezers that are bent at the end to hold my items I’m burning. I like my nails long and painted so I’m not risking my fingertips getting too close to the flame lol. I love the rolling paper idea!

Honestly, my wonder is always how you’re not setting off (how do I not set off) a smoke detector ♥️✨💨🚨

I use a pair of tweezers that are just for this purpose I've always visualized them as an energetic extention of my fingers

I love the rollies idea. I highly recommend using tweezers for holding bay leaves, it’s most effective!

How are you protecting your fingers from getting burned when you pinch the candle out? Do you have water on your fingers?

If you're in Canada - those mini cast iron Betty Crocker skillets from Dollarama work soo good for containing all the burny stuff!!

I also keep salt nearby just in case a quick extinguish is needed. I love burning things in my magic too.

Besides incense and smudging, which I use an abalone shell for, anything I burn is near my kitchen sink.

I noticed when you extinguish a taper you use your fingers and was just wondering if there was a ritualistic reason for it or just something like habit 😁

Do you have a bay tree growing in your garden? That would be very convenient if you do

My bay leaves crackle like sparklers! 😄 but I always keep my cast iron cauldron close when I’m burning things.

As someone who is of Irish heritage on my dads side and Mexican on my moms I’m so lost how to honor my ancestors on my dads side and on my moms side . My 4th great grandfather was from Scotland as well . But I have no idea how to make an alter for my Irish ancestors at the same time as my Mexican ancestors. What offerings are authentic to Ireland/scottland

When you give your Tabacco offerings to your ancestors, do you roll them into cigarettes and light them, so they can consume the smoke? Or just leave the tobacco as it comes? Thank you!
