hi :
Ok it is still illegal whether or not she was having a psychotic breakdown or not so it only matters if her defense team can prove if she was completely disconnected from reality completely and if they can the ruling can go three ways.
Not guilty by reason of insanity:If the court finds that the psychosis prevented the person from understanding the nature of their actions or distinguishing right from wrong, they may be found legally insane but this does not mean she goes free this means she must go to a high security psychiatric hospital for treatment, often for a period as long or longer than a typical prison sentence.
Guilty but Mentally Ill: this means the person is legally guilty and responsible, but the court recognizes their severe illness. They are sentenced to prison or a secure facility but are supposed to receive mandatory psychiatric treatment while serving their time.
Diminished Capacity / Reduced Charges: If the psychosis doesn't meet the strict legal definition of complete insanity, it may still be used to argue "diminished capacity." This can reduce a charge from first-degree murder to manslaughter, resulting in a shorter prison sentence.
If a person commits a homicide during a psychotic breakdown caused entirely by medications administered at a hospital, it is still investigated as a crime, but the person has a powerful, distinct legal defense known as "involuntary intoxication" this could also help her case but if she were to take something else illegally she would not be able to use insanity as a defense

Her feeling shame and self-harming afterwards, and attempting to jump like that out of sheer self-loathing, shows she knew right from wrong. Nevertheless, her actions were premeditated by sending her husband away to carry out her plan. Her defense won’t hold up, and anyone that supports this delusion of her not knowing what she was doing is part of the problem.

I think it was premeditated, but prison doesn’t fix anything. A mental home for life isn’t exactly a vacation.
