Summary: A science-fiction thriller directed by Louis Leterrier and written by Matthew Robinson, starring Greta Lee and Wagner Moura. It follows the Delgado family (Jason, Ann, and their two children) in suburban Seattle who suddenly find themselves sealed inside their home by an invisible barrier when a mysterious, unending rain begins. Phones, internet, and exits stop working, and the same fate befalls their neighbours. As days stretch into years, the family must improvise survival methods—growing food indoors, trapping animals through the chimney, and rationing resources—while a looming external threat involving tentacled sea creatures gradually reveals itself. The film explores family bonds, resilience, and humanity’s relationship with the natural world under extreme isolation.
