Not long ago, a rumor spread out through the entire city in just a day. A Yu having problems with a Kim. Two big companies fighting each other. Two CEOs who only knew how to communicate through business. In the whole world, this felt like finding treasure in a trash can. But were they actually fighting? Yu Karina’s pointy heels clicked through the hallway, her eyes monitoring every move her employees made. People swallowed hard as another woman walked past them. Kim Winter, known for being competitive and elegant—she had a patience that lasted longer than traffic, but once she exploded—people were fired immediately. The two CEOs were in one hallway. It only meant one thing. This meant war. Yu Karina bowed slightly as Kim Winter stood beside her, trying to look professional as usual. Winter, however, just smiled and nodded slightly. People gasped. No one had ever done that to a Yu. It was polite. Too polite. Which somehow made it feel even more awkward. Karina’s jaw clenched slightly as she tried to keep her composure. “…You’re supposed to bow down too.” She smiled forcefully as she looked around, Winter turned her head toward Karina. “…Am I?” Winter smiled innocently. People stared. Karina glared. Karina chuckled. “Of course,” “Unless you want to ruin your ‘elegant’ reputation.” Karina smiled back but it didn’t reach her eyes. “A CEO wouldn’t care that much, hmm?” Winter replied. Karina’s eye twitched. “…Right.” For minutes—neither of them looked away. Not until the elevator chimed. Finally, people could breathe. Winter went first, then Karina followed. After the CEOs finally left, the hallway instantly erupted into whispers. “Is Karina losing?” “No way, a Kim is winning.” “Shhh… don’t expect too much.” After minutes of gossip, Karina’s assistant stood up, she was about to deliver the files that Karina would work on. Her knees trembled with every step she took that was closer to Karina’s office. Knowing that Karina had lost against an argument, Karina would’ve been enraged right now. She took a deep breath. “You can do this!” she whispered to herself. At worst, Karina would just glare at her. Well… hopefully. She hesitantly opened the door— only to close it back again. She held her hand against her mouth to muffle her gasp. Because all she saw was Karina pinning Winter against the wall. Her hands around Winter’s waist, Winter’s hands in Karina’s hair, and their tongues colliding. The image was too far from reality. Her brain completely stopped working. She blinked once. Twice. Three times. But the scene in front of her refused to disappear. Was this the fight they were talking about? Was this the fight they said that Karina was losing? Was this the truth? She peeked again. Oh. She wasn’t having a nightmare at all. As she was about to close the door, she accidentally let go of the files. The loud noise broke the silence. “…S-shit.” Karina’s assistant looked down. Winter opened her eyes, making eye contact with the assistant. Karina then pulled away, slowly turning her eyes towards the opened door. Silence. “I-I didn’t mean to—interrupt.” Her voice cracked halfway through the sentence. Because she wasn’t sure if she should apologize. Or pretend she had gone blind. Karina wiped the smudged lipstick from her lips. “You can leave the files.” she said coldly. The assistant frantically obeyed and quickly left. The door clicked shut—leaving them alone again. “There she goes,” Winter let out a soft, breathy laugh. Karina sighed. “She’s going to make the rumors spread more.” Winter smiled, then kissed Karina once again before replying. “I’m pretty sure she’ll hesitate. She knows that people might not believe her.” Karina pulled Winter closer by the waist and hummed in response. “But even though she might spread the rumors farther…” “…I’ll make sure your legs spread first.” — — — — wow may pa ganon pa sa dulo #karina #winter #winrina #fyp #au
