Materials Used
Gift Bag
● One rectangular sheet of brown/kraft paper
Bow
● Pink paper strip
Tools
● Scissors
● Adhesive for attaching the bow
Making Process
1. Show two completed kraft-paper gift bags decorated with contrasting bows.
2. Place the rectangular kraft paper vertically on the work surface.
3. Fold the lower section upward.
4. Open the folded lower section.
5. Push the two sides of this section outward to form a diamond-shaped base.
6. Flatten the diamond carefully along its crease lines.
7. Fold one side of the paper inward lengthwise.
8. Fold the opposite side inward.
9. Press both vertical folds firmly.
10. Return to the diamond-shaped bottom.
11. Fold the upper part of the diamond toward the center.
12. Fold the lower part upward so the sections overlap.
13. Press the overlapping bottom folds flat to form the bag base.
14. Open the paper structure and expand the sides.
15. Push the side creases inward to create the bag's gussets.
16. Flatten the bag again while keeping the side folds aligned.
17. Fold the upper edge downward to create a neat top flap.
18. Press the top fold firmly.
19. Prepare a narrow strip of pink paper.
20. Fold the pink paper into multiple layers.
21. Use scissors to cut a curved shape through the folded layers.
22. Open the cut paper to reveal the symmetrical bow shape.
23. Fold the bow sections inward toward the center.
24. Pinch and shape the middle to create the dimensional paper bow.
25. Attach the completed pink bow near the top of the kraft gift bag. 26. Adjust the bow and top flap.
27. Display the finished pink-bow gift bag beside the black-bow version.
