@darealkaymichellee: I tell my girls all the time: NEVER feel pressured to have children. I love my babies more than anything, but I will never lie to them about what motherhood has cost me. The lack of support from their fathers, carrying responsibilities I shouldn’t have had to carry alone, and constantly having to be strong when I desperately needed support was traumatic. I don’t want my daughters thinking being a mother means suffering in silence or accepting bare-minimum support. If they choose motherhood one day, I want it to be because they genuinely want it—and because they have a partner who is truly willing to show up.
