It has always frustrated me a lot how dark-skinned characters are not REALLY dark-skinned; it's a color that tries to be half white and half dark, but it doesn't go any further than that. Often in merchandise or on cards their skin appears paler, despite the fact that they are dark-skinned, with warm skin; I know there are issues of lighting and color theory involved here, But I've always wanted to see them with darker skin, a color that better represents the culture from which they draw inspiration (Afro-descendants).

The writers making so many characters say racist and terrible things even though it heavily mischaracterized the characters. It’s so obvious how the writers are projecting their racist ideals onto characters when they feel like it 😭

It’s pretty much only the eng translation that’s making it sounds so bad…in the Japanese version he calls the Savanaclaw dorm words close to like “wilderness”, “surrounded in nature”, “rusty” , “rugged” all words similar to these meaning that didn’t make beastmens dehumanizing…and cater has never called beastmen “monsters” in the Jp ver. I’m really disappointed in the translator/writer 😡

Even as a cater fan myself, I’ve pointed his actions out in the past. Similar to this, he also said “those monster in savanaclaw” (it was either monsters or beasts) it was in the anime, when they were explaining the dorms to yuuken. It’s honestly so disgusting that the writers have wrote things like this multiple times in game, for a lot of diff characters too… unrelated but it’s a extremely weird how the ending of book 7 has Lilia and the faes dancing with their COLONIZERS as if they’re good ppl?? Same thing with glorifying Silver’s knight of dawn armor. Idk I just felt like pointing it out
