For anyone who doesnt understand, the reason why you cant see the eclipse with a bare eye, is because your pupils enlarge when its dark to let more light in, then because the eclipse appears dark (since the moon is covering most of the sun) it leave your retina exposed to the sun with no protection, the sun is still extremly powerful so it fully enters your eye. Which will massively damage your retina cell, This is called Solar Retinopathy. It can lead to things like having holes in your vision, eye dicolouration, etc. It can be permanent.
