Chicks can sometimes act weird like this but have no infection or disease, I can see it is eating and sometimes it happens because of rapid feed intake. dusty feed can choke at their throats and can cas it to act like this. so you can isolate it and study it afterwards. it can be the following: 1.Mycoplasma/CRD — especially if there is sneezing, nasal discharge, rattling or swollen eyes. 2.Infectious coryza — particularly with facial/eye swelling and nasal discharge. Airway obstruction — mucus, dust, feed material or a foreign body can obstruct the airway. 3.Ammonia/dust irritation — poor litter or dusty conditions can irritate the respiratory tract. 4.Newcastle disease or other respiratory infections — especially if multiple birds suddenly develop respiratory or neurological signs. 5.Gapeworm — less common in young, well-managed indoor birds, but can cause open-mouth breathing and repeated head/neck movements.
