I love it you answered my questions about those runners. So I need to get some dirt in some pots. Question should I start in small pot or go right into hanging pot? What is that blue thing that you have.? What happened to your strawberry plants when summer is over? I live in Ohio cold winters! lol

I left them attached and got multiple pots under the mother. All the daughters are rooting into their own pots and now I’ll have enough for myself and my family members for next year.

This was my third year trying to grow strawberries in a raised bed. The day after the plants went in, a squirrel destroyed them all. I thought. I grabbed one of the uprooted crowns and stuck it into a different area and waited for it to die. And now I understand why it’s grown into a very healthy looking plant. 😂 Thanks for the explanation!

I took notice I have a few runners, but I seen the roots are not white. they are reddish brown by any chance do you know if they will still root if I plant them or can it be from sun burn bc I did have the root exposed to a metal table outside.
