No kid left behind is an excuse to grade on a perminate curve because too many kids “were left behind” meaning we’ve dumbed down the system so much that it’s basically daycare

no child left behind+covid "give them grace"= being behind and not understanding anything/accumulated issues. if you are behind 1 year and are expected to do the work and cannot do it. that means you learned nothing that year. which means now you're 2 years behind. then 3 then 4. We lack the numbers, funds, and ability to sit down 1-1 and help a student make up for years of being behind. We are expected to cover the new curriculum regardless. It stacks up and now those kids are stuck graduating wherever they were at when covid hit.

because the systems and the administrators want us to pass the kids along even if they don't have proper grades. They make us put passing grades down even when they have failed. They're too afraid to look bad for their school districts so principals make us move them along.
