@zennietattoos: Before tattooing, there was simply a love for creating. And painting brings me back to that in a completely different way. Tattooing requires so much precision. I’m creating something permanent on another person’s body, so every decision matters. There’s a plan, a process, and someone trusting me with the final result. Painting gives me permission to let all of that go. I can start without knowing where I’m going. Make a mess. Change my mind. Paint over something I loved five minutes ago. Follow an instinct simply because I want to see where it leads. There’s no client waiting to see the final design. No one I need to reassure. No predetermined destination. Just me, the canvas, and whatever wants to come through. And I think having both makes me a better artist. One practice teaches me precision. The other reminds me how to play. At the heart of both, though, is the same thing that started it all: I just really fucking love making art. ❤️
