Im very happy she and baby are healthy and I truly believe that it’s her body her choice- however I don’t recommend wild pregnancy or freebirth and think there are MUCH better options. The ideal candidate for a planned homebirth is someone who is healthy and low risk with regular prenatal care with a trained medical provider who at each assessment determines they are still healthy and low risk. I hate when people who are healthy and low risk have planned homebirths and people comment and say “well if delivered at home I would have d*ed” when in reality they never would have been a candidate for a homebirth in the first place. Most people WANT and NEED a hospital birth and as someone who works in the hospital I think hospitals overall are safe places and good choices for most. I hate that people like encompass farm further the narrative that people who chose homebirth are unsafe and crazy and don’t care about their babies bc most of the time that’s just not true and homebirth CAN be safe and CAN be a good option for the appropriate candidate with good care and a trained medical professional. I also don’t want people to see that encompass farms had a wild pregnancy and free birth and now that becomes more popular bc I think both are incredibly dangerous #midwife #obgyn #homebirth #hospitalbirth #trending
