Odyssey is the stages of life in relationship to the quest to life's quest. Illiad is more of a political less humanity ..... Gelgemash has all the stories of the Bible .... blood and guts war what is right based on who says what's right and wrong. Beowulf with the Odyssey a quest for the demons in the water ... personal human quest what's true in life is there not a god ... Gelgemash is in the beginning is there a god ....was written before the Bible was and the Others are more man's quest ...to find the meaning of life..... They are all apocryphal. Each one has a hero and a back up without him the hero has a foil is the back up friend. Some have the character themselves acting as the foil. Don Quixote is also a similar character seeking to right the world's wrong.. How to live a moral life.
