If you keep asking the same question and getting the same answer, I want you to know that I understand why. I see this happen regularly in my work. Someone will ask me a question during a TikTok Live reading. Then she’ll ask again the next day. She may book a paid reading and ask the same question there. Then I’ll see her back in a free Live asking for confirmation again. The answer hasn’t changed. And I don’t say that from some moral high ground because I understand the urge to ask again. Sometimes you aren’t actually looking for new information. You’re looking for the feeling of safety you hoped the answer would give you. Those are two very different things. You can receive a clear answer and still have a nervous system that says, “Okay, but are we SURE?” So you ask again. You pull another card. You look for another sign. You ask another friend. You find another psychic. You Google it. You replay the conversation. And for a moment, the reassurance might help. Then the uncertainty comes back, so you reach for another answer. I’ve watched coaching clients do versions of this, too. This is one of the reasons my work with intuition is inseparable from my expertise in the nervous system. Receiving intuitive information is one thing. Having the capacity to stay with yourself when the information doesn’t immediately make you feel safe, certain, or comfortable is something else entirely. And THAT is where self-trust gets built. Not by never asking for guidance. Not by refusing support. But by noticing when you’ve stopped gathering information and started asking someone outside of you to make uncertainty disappear. Before you ask the question one more time, try asking yourself a different one: Do I actually need more information, or am I looking for reassurance because I’m uncomfortable with the information I already have? There is so much compassion in learning the difference. 🎙️ I’m talking about this much more deeply in episode 286 of Your Yes Filled Life: You Don’t Need Another Sign. You Need to Trust the One You Got. #SelfTrust #Intuition #NervousSystemRegulation #Empath #YourYesFilledLife
