I’m a chocolate lab mom of two and I do not allow this lol yes they play and fight all day but little one needs some correction and it’s better if the older one does the correcting

You need to STOP this behavior 😡 your pup needs to understand NO your older dog shouldn’t have to put up with it 😡 and yes I’m an experienced lab owner

I’ve got a 2 year old lab and a 9 week old lab. If the big one can’t do it, neither can the little one. She gets corrected every time! It’s exhausting but want my big boy to love her, not despise her.

We also did this and now the younger one is a bit of a bully towards the older one. I wished I would have let the older one correct him a bit more. When the older one stands up for himself nowadays, we encourage him. It’s important for the younger one to learn appropriate behaviour towards others for sure, it’s about finding a balance between protecting but also letting them communicate naturally

My lab puppy did that to my older dog 😂 he’s now 18 months and my friend brang her puppy round and did the same thing to him. Was funny to see him not enjoy it when he did that exact same thing when he was younger 😂

I just got a puppy & she is learning to not do that to my older boy. I am not 100% sure he would not over correct . So I am correcting her

Believe me that day will come where he will correct him. I have two labs and the baby bit my 5 year old too hard on the face, now has a scar. Now my 5 year old don’t think twice, fully pounces on him, pins him down when he gets in his face. He don’t like my younger lab at all, the second dog didn’t work for us. My 5 year old would rather be an only child lol 😅
