I think people are also over consuming at an alarming rate in addition to the never ending inflation nightmare post-Covid. Two things can be true.

My goal is to spend less on anything except food. And with food I am planning my meals meticulously to keep costs low. My husband and I go out once a week for a date where we share a meal. We are doing our best to survive and it’s sad.

We all feel that way. My son graduated, I thought I was home free. I am going to have extra money and time… no. College tuition, plus I still have all his expenses. Plus my oldest had a baby and now I’m a part time babysitter, full time worker and I spend extra $$ on the granddaughter. I feel like it never ends.
