I had a guy totally fall off. He was great, we were great friends, and then he just started making really bad choices out of nowhere. Drinking every night, went from being in great shape to being out of regs kinda fat. Then when I was a 4 and he was a 6 we got the same staff duty shift. He decides to show up belligerently drunk because it was a Saturday. Then tells me he’s taking off and leaving my E4 ass alone. So I can’t snitch on him but then my PSG calls me up and is like “where the fuck is he, dude?. So I don’t wanna snitch on him and I’m just like “I genuinely don’t know”. And I don’t wanna snitch on him but my PSG was super cool and was just like “Dude, I just need his ass there, I’m not gonna recommend him for an article or anything I just can’t have only a specialist on staff duty”. So I’m about to make up some bullshit story to buy time to call him and tell him our PSG is pissed so he can get back in time, but my PSG gets a call while we’re on the phone so he tells em to stand by and he’ll call me back. 20 minutes my PSG shows up with that big Taco Bell case with like a dozen tacos in it and I’m thinking I’m screwed because obviously dude never showed back up. PSG’s like “I’m your NCOIC tonight, man”. And I’m super confused. Turns out dude was so drunk that he one of the gate shacks trying to leave post and the MPs got him and had to take him to the hospital. Dude really crashed out. Literally.
