But when he asked for help controlling weeds and insects, the system recommended a chemical mixture which he then sprayed across his fields. Within just 24 hours, both the weeds and his sesame seedlings had died. The AI reportedly later identified one of the recommended herbicides as a possible cause. Wu said he had not been properly warned about the risks, although the platform displayed a general message advising users to verify AI generated information.
