@chefbrandonallen: Why do I tap my knife while prepping? It’s an OCD tic. Folks ask about it in nearly every video, so here you go. The honest reality of how a little tap provides relief 🔪
This is really educational and your video format and voice makes this very easy to understand and enjoy, thank you!

the ocd struggle is so difficult, we live in a time where it’s become so romanticised and everyone is convinced they have it, so people think we’re weird when describing things we actually experience with ocd

I do a very similar syllable tapping with my fingers. Never heard of anyone else doing it until I saw this.

tbh, I used to notice it when I first started watching you, but over 50+ videos even I've gotten used to it. I haven't noticed it in the last few videos until you brought it up in this one 😂

i'm sorry if this is a personal question, but as someone who has been struggling with what they believe is OCD.. i'd like to ask you how you eventually got yourself to go get diagnosed. i find that to be really hard.

i have a similar ocd, i have to move either side of my body or legs or toes or fingers to each syllable and each word has to end with a movement on the right side or else it’ll annoy be really bad

I Tap my knife to keep a rhythm while chopping. I don't even know that I'm doing it, when doing it. If that makes sense.

using a pressure release valve as a way to explain compulsions is actually such a helpful way to explain it !!! i struggle to explain compulsions to my friends sometimes and that’s such a good comparison i’m stealing it 🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️

i just found this channel and i really appreciate the low stim production, it's very soothing, and you have a great sense of humor! compulsions are sooo tricky, the pressure release analogy is spot on, though, wow,,, i've noticed i also do the symmetrical 'tapping' when i'm listening to certain songs.
