I found a PDF of the entire book on Google, saved it to Google Drive, and had ChatGPT read through it. Now I’m using the framework from the book step by step on one of my websites. It’s been incredibly useful. Thanks for making this video and pointing me in the right direction!

This is what really shows Elon’s genius because anyone who has actually tried to do this in a business, knows that it is incredibly difficult to identify the bottleneck and to optimize for it

Is he the greatest entrepreneur ever, maybe. Him constantly referring to himself as chief engineer is an insult to engineers

This is one of my favorite books, but I think it gets misinterpreted. The goal is not to make bottleneck faster, but rather to relieve them by reducing the amount if wasted work that does not contribute to throughput, doing that work somewhere else(when possible), and other ways too. There’s a lot of nuance here, but I do think it’s one of the best books I’ve ever read for not just manufacturing - but also business, software, and life.

Literally just did this over the past 90 days with one of my clients and they are finally seeing profit after 2 years. We slowed down paid ads and reduced cost but made it more effective and reorganized daily activity to be more effective. Founders think they need more money and sometimes they do but usually they need to reorganize how they are working and solve the actual bottleneck in the business.

So so so important. Optimizing wrong things can be even more detrimental for business than solving the wrong problems. Well articulated 👍 we need more such conversations in our hyper ai driven world. A lots wrong optimizations are bubbling up across different industries at moment

Pure bs, he makes most of his money by buying lawmakers and getting exclusive contracts, if what you said is true, what happens with doge?

I agree! most leaders cut costs. They see fast easy shifts towards profitability but short sightedly decapitate growth.

Great video. I am combining TOC with Elon’s 5 steps to solve every problem, then subject it all to what I call my 1000 Year Business Plan.
