The two dollar steaks make great sandwiches. I bought them and sold them way back in the day. It started with 20 ribeyes for 20 bucks. The grocery store steaks are pumped with a solution too. Some batches are great and some not so great. It states the solution on the box. It's not the best steak most of the time but so what . Steaks from the grocery store are not that great sometimes. Its not dry aged Angus or Wagyu . Different coloration doesn't mean anything most of the time. I love getting deals on slightly grey steaks at the store. One day I picked up a 30 oz Ribeye for 5 bucks.

the 5 dollar and 2 dollar ones are the same steak, the 2 dollar ones are just cut thinner, weigh less and have possibly been there longer and theyre tryna make a good deal for thinner older steak

That five dollar is more than likely trimmed up Chuck roast. And Chuck roast does make a very good steak if you ask me.
