As a girl who is a senior in college, the amount of fights that I picked with my mama in the last 48 hours each time I moved back to college are embarrassing now! Packing makes it feel real and we are just as sad. We’re just brats about it!

I feel like making a girlfriend responsible for his laziness is kind of wild. It teaches him he doesn’t have to be responsible for himself. If he doesn’t pack it, he’ll be the one running around getting clothes together.

I worked at Bed Bath and Beyond for 15years. I helped 90% of the kids that came in with their parents to "build their dorm" the girls 2 of everything the boys? a quarter of what the girls got. the following year id see them again for Brita or sheets and Id recognize them and go so did mom have to ship things to you or you go out and buy things? the boys always said no i still have unopened stuff you two both made me get. Boys in college are different creatures. Just let him go. he'll be just fine based on my 15 years of observations. 😆
