As a nurse, we deal with horrible things a lot. We learn to “shut down” or “turn off” our emotions because we have to go to the next room and act like nothing happened. This doesn’t mean we don’t care and don’t process it later or even have PTSD from it. It’s the same with COPS. They have to still work on and figure out what to do next and get all the information he needs to get this guy then he probably is being called to another call and has to put this aside. I guarantee once he gets home he is going to deal with this and probably age 10 years.

Cops aren’t detectives. He’s not trained for this stuff. And honestly he shouldn’t mess with the computer either because he can possibly mess something up. He needs to contact his detective so they can take it from there. Detective would write the warrant so they can collect the computer and the forensic digital evidence unit can go through it.

If cops are doing their job properly, and everyone involved is cooperating…it will appear as if the police officer doesnt care. This officer did EXACTLY what he’s supposed to do…they aren’t vigilantes.

As a patrol officer , youre not gonna make that arrest. youre not even gonna investigate it. On patrol we go to the complaint, verify a crime has taken place , take the report , get the pertinent information, seize the laptop for evidence, and a detective will do the rest of the work and make that arrest. And then yall are saying hes not taking it serious enough? What do you want him to do ? Start crying ? Start yelling ? Tf
