i would love exclusive shopping time or first dibs on certain kinds of donations like books or craft supplies or something. i wouldn't want any gifts in the mail. otherwise i think i'd just love to help keep it open for others.

Have a little experience running a similar membership program…have noticed people tend to like feel good community stuff! (It’s why they donate in the first place…) So for instance we do a little “members only appreciation party” once a year with music, snacks, photo booth, etc! A nice way to say thanks, get members into your space, socializing with each other, etc. Good luck!

I’m a member, I don’t need anything sent to me. I know on Patreon the members will get behind the scenes videos, maybe try doing a little of that and letting people know that if they become members they will get access to a non-public video. Honestly, I became a member because you are an honest person doing something I wish I could also do. You just keep up the good work and put out videos and people will keep donating. Maybe mention at the end of every video that people can become members and have a recurring donation setup.

A newsletter with needed items, it would be cool for members to be part of the local parades creating attention/visibility for the wider public and get the word out about the store, other free community events perhaps? Just throwing out ideas. Bless you guys!

To know more about membership impact - what do donation dollars do, how many people does it impact, anonymous testimonials from people who’ve benefited from your store, things like that. Personally I don’t need any more stuff, I’m always trying to purge, but if it were anything I’d be into a cool sticker that I could put on a mug or something to spread awareness.

keep showing the store and pantry, maybe get a customer to tell what the store means to them. Let folks know how a $5 donation is put to use. I personally would not be motivated by a gift, or local event because I am out of state. Maybe a short email about something great that happened in the store- that would be more my style. Also, maybe reference on here how many followers you have versus the number of members. Random thoughts! I love what you’re doing, and now I’m going to donate!
