This is why intermediate FMLA is important. I used tons of hours when my mother had Alzheimer’s & her at home aides called out. I had it 2016-April 2021. I renewed it every year. My boss asked once “how long are you going to do this”. I said until she dies which was April 2021. I left in May of 2023. Good inheritance so I retired!

Hr exists to protect the company. In this instance, hr is protecting the company from a wrongful termination lawsuit of the employee that stayed in the hospital. Manager is fired
