Can I point you to an unconventional one that I love? It’s Kate Lieu’s “Best Ever” chocolate chip cookie from her book 108 Asian Cookies. The recipe has Milo/Ovaltine and miso in it. It makes a thin and chewy cookie, just the way I love them. One tweak is that I add some kosher salt because she uses the miso instead of salt and I don’t think it is salty enough. 😂 I think you can get the recipe free on Simply Recipes but the photos there don’t really do them justice. I don’t use chocolate chips, I break up my own bars of chocolate and the cookies look less lumpy and have nice melty bits throughout. I’ve been asked for the recipe many times after sharing them with friends.
