I work at a youth center and have noticed how the education system is failing our youth here. They just pass them along even though they’re are illiterate and they can’t even spell their first and last names

in my country, kids are AUTOMATICALLY PROMOTED to the next grade UNLESS their parent/guardian says otherwise. I've even seen administrators tell teachers to up students' grades.
