Controversial opinion but if a person I love said they didn’t feel comfortable going by themselves I would go with them and take the chance to be curious and find out more about why they felt uncomfortable. It obvious he cared more about a movie than her bc it shouldn’t have been that big off deal to miss a little bit of a movie to help your partner if he truly cared about her.

If she didn't feel right she probably wanted you there as a just incase. if she has stomach issues then having someone talk to you through the potential pain helps. Also the fact that she isn't in a familiar bathroom either. It wouldn't have taken a second or two to consider this.
